Will charities keep contacting me for donations?

You may be concerned if you list your website you will be inundated with calls from charities around the world asking for money from you.

Whilst I cannot control who may or may not contact you, I can give the following advice:

If the charity says they found your listing on JointWinWin, refer them politely back to this Business FAQ section and this response specifically. Here is the advice for them:

Information For Charities

As ethical and concerned business owners, we  understand you need to market your message like any other business. Each JointWinWin business has a responsibility to donate a minimum of 0.8% of their gross revenue to a legitimate charity or charities of their choice. Lists of charities from around the world have been pointed out to JointWinWin businesses in the FAQ.

From time to time, JointWinWin will recommend charities to make donations to. If you would like to be considered, you must:

  • Create a listing for your charity in the Charities section (you do not have to offer a special offer but it would still be advisable)
  • Recommend JointWinWin to your own website visitors with a live link pointing back
  • Contact us

Please refrain from direct contact with JointWinWin businesses in an effort to solicit funding. The primary focus of JointWinWin businesses is to build their business thus in turn increasing their revenues and as a direct result will give them an increased ability to donate more money to charity. Time distractions, no matter how well intentioned will only serve to lessen the ability of a business to grow and could serve to alienate a business owner too.
